If you live close enough to visit, maybe go there on a weekend and just check it out. It (at least was) pretty quiet during the week, so the weekends are when you would want to go. I doubt the opportunity I had to live there is still the way it was then, and even so, I was able to snag that apartment because of all the time I had already spent there getting to know the community and the timing was right because it had just opened up.
