Thank you for writing this. I am a parent of a nearly 13-year-old and our parenting sounds remarkably similar and guess what? We do live in Florida. So we have had to take on sex/gender education knowing that we have the opposite of support from his school environment. I feel we have done well with this and he is aware- being part of the only friends group at his school that includes nonbinary people. Hats off to you!!
