Thanks for this slice of life! I have a 13-yr-old who thinks he never wants to drink because he knows how it affected me and that I no longer do it. He also watched what happened with my mom (which you know). However, my husband drinks (very minimally but has a beer or two after work) so he sees what controlled, nonproblematic drinking looks like. Also, he knows I do not condemn others for it, I just don't do it myself anymore. So I have told him he may change his mind, in time.
