We have had our shelter adopted kitty for... I think about 3 years now and I just commented to my husband the other day that she continues to grow more affectionate with us (much like bonding with a fellow human) as each day passes. She went from mostly hiding for a few weeks to running to greet each of us and flopping on the floor for pets every time we come home. Patience and respect, people!
